Conference Manager

Position Title Admin Support Specialist - Advanced (Conference Manager) Department ASOD Continuing Education-431100 Position Summary The Conference Manager supports the planning, coordination, and execution of continuing education programs and activities for the Adams School of Dentistry Office of Continuing Dental Education and AHEC. The role serves as a key liaison between faculty, regional partners, vendors, and participants to ensure educational programs are delivered successfully and in compliance with University, State, and American Dental Association Continuing Education Recognition Program (ADA CERP) guidelines. Key Responsibilities Coordinate educational events from planning through completion, including program logistics, scheduling, registration, and communications. Support the development of promotional materials and budgets. Co‑ordinate meeting spaces, vendors, and food and beverage arrangements. Maintain compliance with applicable continuing education requirements. Collaborate with nine regional AHEC offices to coordinate continuing education offerings and secure faculty presenters for in‑person and virtual programs throughout North Carolina. Minimum Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalency and one year of related office experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Preferred Qualifications Direct work experience in adult continuing education and/or higher education. Experience with event and meeting planning. Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and Adobe. Working knowledge of ADA CERP standards and procedures, Connect Carolina, Concur, PeopleSoft, and Learning Stream (a big plus). Valid North Carolina Driver’s License. Work Schedule and Hours Full‑time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm. Occasional evening, overtime, or weekend work may be required. Compensation Annual salary range: $50,831 – $53,831. Physical/Mental Requirements Not applicable. Required Licenses/Certifications None required.
