- Conduct thorough evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients utilizing a blend of standardized assessments and observational methods.
- Create tailored treatment plans to meet both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
- Deliver personalized speech therapy services focusing on communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
- Work with interdisciplinary teams including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, and physicians to ensure seamless care strategies.
- Provide education and resources to patients and their families to foster progress beyond therapy sessions.
- Support inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions as needed to maintain consistent care throughout patient recovery.
- Ensure comprehensive and precise documentation adheres to all relevant rules and regulations.
- Engage in ongoing education and collaboration with peers to stay abreast of advancements in the field.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is pending.
- Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of employment.
- Expertise in evidence-based treatment methodologies for all age groups, with an emphasis on understanding both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
- Exceptional communication skills with patients, families, and collaborative care teams.
- Ability to tailor therapy techniques to meet varied cultural and linguistic needs.
