We are looking for a detail-oriented Paralegal to provide hands-on trial support for a civil litigation matter in state court. This is a Contract position based in Pasadena, California, where you will play a central role in preparing materials, coordinating case logistics, and helping attorneys stay organized as trial approaches. The ideal candidate brings strong litigation support experience, sound judgment under pressure, and the ability to keep critical deadlines and documents on track in a fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities:
• Direct day-to-day trial readiness efforts for a state court civil litigation case, ensuring attorneys have the materials and support needed at each stage.
• Assemble, organize, and maintain exhibits, trial notebooks, and related case records so all documents are accessible and courtroom-ready.
• Complete document handling tasks such as copying, compiling, filing, and preparing sets of materials for hearings and trial use.
• Develop and organize witness-related materials, including outlines and supporting documentation for testimony preparation.
• Review deposition transcripts and related records to prepare them for trial presentation and potential impeachment use.
• Track key dates, manage case files, and maintain orderly trial materials to support efficient execution during proceedings.
• Provide ongoing support to the legal team during trial by anticipating requests, coordinating logistics, and helping manage daily case activity behind the scenes.• Prior experience working as a Trial Paralegal on civil litigation matters in state court.
• Strong understanding of trial preparation processes, exhibit control, and deposition document organization.
• Experience creating and organizing witness preparation materials, including documents used for impeachment support.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively while meeting tight court-driven deadlines.
• Proven ability to work independently and take ownership of core trial support responsibilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to remain composed in a high-pressure trial setting.
• Proficiency with litigation support tools, case management software, and discovery-related workflows.
