Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of patients' physical abilities, using diagnostic tools to design individualized treatment plans that align with their recovery goals.
• Implement and direct effective physical therapy interventions aimed at preventing disability, alleviating pain, and improving overall muscle function.
• Oversee physical therapy assistants to ensure the appropriate execution of treatment plans while adhering to state regulations.
• Administer therapeutic exercises, manual therapies, and modalities such as traction and massage to enhance rehabilitation outcomes.
• Evaluate the physical environment and recommend modifications that facilitate patient autonomy and independence at home.
• Document patients' progress meticulously through clinical records, including initial evaluations, care plans, and discharge summaries, ensuring compliance with state and federal guidelines.
• Participate actively in interdisciplinary team meetings, contributing insights and recommendations that guide the overall treatment strategy for patients.
• Educate clients and their families about therapeutic techniques, equipment usage, and long-term wellness strategies.
• Maintain timely communication with physicians and case managers regarding patient condition changes, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
• Engage in professional development and training opportunities to stay abreast of advancements in physical therapy practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with outpatient clients recovering from various musculoskeletal conditions, sports injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, and chronic pain issues. Qualifications

• Must hold a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Active Physical Therapist license in the state of Virginia, in good standing.
• Current CPR certification is mandatory.
• A minimum of one (1) year of experience in a similar role, preferably in an outpatient or acute care setting, is required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills that enable effective patient engagement and collaboration with healthcare teams.

• Demonstrated ability to think critically and creatively in developing personalized treatment protocols.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with documentation for federal and state regulations, including OASIS assessments.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
