Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients, utilizing a thorough review of medical history and specific assessments to develop tailored treatment plans that reflect each individual's needs.

• Engage patients and their families in understanding evaluation findings and collaboratively set achievable goals for their rehabilitation journey.

• Implement treatment protocols with proficiency, adapting approaches based on patient progress and the latest evidence-based practices.

• Regularly communicate and collaborate with other interdisciplinary healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive and integrated patient care.

• Document patient care activities accurately and punctually, maintaining comprehensive records that chart the patient's course of treatment, including evaluations and progress assessments.

• Manage your appointment schedule effectively and meet productivity expectations while ensuring timely attendance at all meetings.

• Participate in hospital and community-based initiatives to enhance awareness and access to physical therapy services.

• Contribute to departmental goals and adhere to all regulatory and accreditation standards.

• Engage in professional development through continuing education to enhance personal competencies and organizational capabilities.

• Deliver exceptional customer service experiences, helping to eliminate barriers to care while engaging actively in facility initiatives that improve access to services.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role as a Physical Therapist at Pace will involve working with a diverse population of patients recovering from various conditions, including orthopedic injuries, neurological disorders, and post-surgical rehabilitation. You will play an essential role in improving their functional mobility, physical strength, and overall health. Understanding patient backgrounds and their specific challenges will be key in devising effective treatment and rehabilitation programs.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required.

• A valid Physical Therapist license, compliant with Virginia regulations, is necessary.

• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association is mandatory.

Preferred Experience

• While prior work experience is not mandatory, candidates with backgrounds in acute care or outpatient settings will be given special consideration.

Compensation and Benefits
