We aren't just looking for a basic parts-swapper; we're looking for a skilled technical professional who can talk to homeowners, build trust, and close service upgrades on the spot.As a Residential Garage Door Tech & Sales specialist, you are the complete package. You'll ensure every door operates smoothly, safely, and reliably, while actively consulting with homeowners on structural and cosmetic upgrades (like smart openers, custom builds, or premium insulation). If you are handy beyond just garage doors and have a natural knack for people, your earning potential here is uncapped.What a Typical Day Looks LikeThe Morning Kickoff: Start the day by reviewing your dispatched service route and loading your truck with the necessary panels, springs, and hardware.On the Move: Head out to scheduled residential service calls across San Antonio. No cold calling-you are running qualified leads where a customer needs help.The Consultant Role (Where You Make Your Money): You won't just "fix it"-you'll run a thorough inspection and guide the client. You'll explain why the system failed, educate them on safety upgrades, and suggest high-value replacements that add long-term equity to their home.Getting Creative: Use your handyman, carpentry, or basic electrical skills to modify framing or trim to ensure a flawless install, rather than just working around a problem.The Wrap-Up: Test every safety feature, log the completed job and sales data in our system, collect payment, and head to the next challenge knowing you maximized your revenue for the day.Key ResponsibilitiesInstall & Repair: Hang new residential doors, frame openings, and secure heavy-duty hardware. Repair or replace openers, springs, cables, and tracks.Consultative Sales: Turn standard repair dispatches into system upgrades. You don't need a high-pressure sales pitch-just present clear options, build trust, and let your expertise do the selling.Custom Craftsmanship: Perform custom trim carpentry, metal work, or specialized framing adjustments for high-end, custom door designs.Technical Troubleshooting: Diagnose motor malfunctions, handle basic electrical wiring for opener systems, and read technical schematics.What We Are Looking ForThe "Handy" Factor: Proven experience in construction, remodeling, carpentry, or professional handyman work.Sales & Communication Aptility: Outgoing personality. Prior experience in home improvement sales, route sales, customer service, or hospitality is a massive plus.
