Work Environment

The Physical Therapist will work onsite in our outpatient office, providing a conducive environment for hands-on therapy and interaction with clients. Key Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee physical therapy treatments designed to relieve pain, restore function, and promote overall well-being in patients facing orthopedic issues.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on thorough evaluations of patients' strength, range of motion, and functional abilities.
• Supervise and mentor physical therapy assistants, ensuring the appropriate implementation of care strategies.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments including muscle, nerve, joint evaluations, and diagnostic tests to inform care plans.
• Identify environmental modifications that can aid patient rehabilitation and recommend necessary adjustments to the treatment plan accordingly.
• Effectively communicate with patients and their families about treatment protocols, expected outcomes, and progression.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as required to optimize recovery outcomes.
• Participate actively in interdisciplinary meetings for holistic patient care planning and continual treatment evaluation.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation including evaluations, care plans, and patient progress notes to ensure compliance and quality of care.
• Educate patients on the proper use of physical therapy devices and provide guidance on their overall rehabilitation regimen.

The successful candidate will work primarily with orthopedic patients, including individuals recovering from surgery, sports-related injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal disorders. Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• A minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience in a physical therapy setting, particularly focused on orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Current state licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist in New York.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to foster a cohesive care approach.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in an outpatient orthopedic clinic environment.
• Familiarity with modern rehabilitation technology and treatment modalities.
• Experience in effectively supervising and mentoring support staff, such as Physical Therapy Assistants.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
