Orthopedic Physical Therapist - Full-Time Position

Position Overview

Range of Motion Balance Physical Therapy is seeking a dedicated Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team in New York, New York. This full-time role is pivotal to our mission of restoring patients' mobility and enhancing their quality of life. As a key member of our outpatient therapy center, you will work closely with patients to develop and implement personalized treatment plans that support recovery and aid in achieving their functional goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify patients' goals and requirements, allowing for the development of individualized treatment plans.
• Manage a patient caseload with a focus on providing one-on-one care, ensuring that each patient is seen each hour.
• Utilize advanced manual therapy techniques to facilitate patient progress and mobility restoration.
• Implement cost-effective interventions that promote recovery, aiming to minimize reliance on medication and explore alternative solutions to surgical procedures.
• Create comprehensive care plans that integrate various evidence-based treatment modalities tailored to each patient's unique needs.
• Design and propose personalized fitness and wellness programs that support patients' long-term health goals.
• Motivate and encourage patients during treatment sessions to foster improved outcomes and independence.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals including physicians and other specialists to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
• Evaluate treatment efficacy, monitor patient progress meticulously, and maintain clear communication throughout the care process.
• Document all patient interactions and treatment services thoroughly to maintain compliance and support continuity of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work primarily with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and general musculoskeletal disorders. Our patient population includes individuals of all ages, presenting a wide range of conditions and rehabilitation needs. Your expertise will enable you to help these patients regain their independence and functionality, guiding them through a supportive recovery journey.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist.
• A clean professional record with no disciplinary actions or board violations.
• Demonstrated expertise in manual therapy techniques and physical rehabilitation.
• Strong skills in constructing and executing rehabilitation exercise protocols.
• Proficient in utilizing Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software, particularly WebPT, for clinical documentation.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working specifically in orthopedic outpatient settings is highly preferred.
• Background in sports rehabilitation and knowledge of evidence-based practice guidelines.
• Familiarity with community healthcare resources to assist patients in their recovery.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this full-time role ranges from USD 90,000 to 120,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
