Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical conditions using diagnostic tests and assessments to develop individualized treatment plans.
• Implement physical therapy interventions aimed at restoring function, improving mobility, and reducing pain in accordance with established plans of care.
• Oversee and guide Physical Therapy Assistants in the execution of treatment plans, ensuring compliance with clinical guidelines and best practices.
• Monitor and document patients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary based on the evaluation of their evolving needs and responses to therapy.
• Engage patients in therapeutic exercises, manual techniques, and equipment usage while providing education and motivational support to optimize recovery.
• Evaluate the home environment and provide recommendations to adapt surroundings for enhanced healing and independence for the patient.
• Maintain meticulous clinical records including initial evaluations, care plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress and adjust care plans collaboratively.
• Consult with families to instruct them on home exercise programs and the proper use of physical therapy devices.
• Stay current with advancements in physical therapy practices to foster creative treatment approaches that improve patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily involves working with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries and injuries, including but not limited to joint replacements, fractures, and sports-related issues. You will play a crucial role in helping these individuals regain their mobility and enhance their quality of life through tailored treatment plans that prioritize both physical recovery and emotional support.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist, with a proven track record of maintaining good standing.
• Demonstrated ability to think critically and make informed decisions during patient care.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster rapport with patients and families.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying abreast of evolving physical therapy practices.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of one year of experience as a Physical Therapist in an acute care or home care setting is preferred.
• Experience working with patients in a rehabilitation environment dealing with orthopedic conditions is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is competitive, ranging from USD 90,000 to 110,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
