Entry-Level Business Development Representative

Location: Brea, CA
Work Setting: On-Site
Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM

Job Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated Business Development Representative to help expand our network of retail partners. In this role, you will connect with bike shops, sporting goods stores, and retailers nationwide to introduce innovative electric bikes (e-bikes) and related products.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys communicating with people, building business relationships, and developing sales skills. You will identify potential business partners, generate new sales opportunities, and collaborate with the Sales team to support business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Make outbound calls and send emails to prospective retail partners to introduce products and identify sales opportunities.
• Respond to inquiries and follow up with interested businesses.
• Research and identify potential dealers, bike shops, sporting goods stores, and other retail partners.
• Learn product features and benefits to effectively communicate value to prospective customers.
• Maintain accurate records of calls, emails, leads, and follow-up activities in the CRM system.
• Qualify leads and coordinate with the Sales team to support the sales process.
• Assist with promotional activities, events, and trade shows as needed.
• Meet established goals for outreach, lead generation, and sales opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience in sales, customer service, account management, or business development is preferred.
• Previous business-to-business (B2B) sales experience is a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Comfortable making outbound calls and engaging with new people.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
• Familiarity with CRM platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar systems is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and consistent follow-through.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and maintain a positive attitude.
• Willingness to learn product information and develop new sales skills.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

• Ability to work on-site in Brea, California.
• Comfortable using a computer, telephone, and headset for extended periods.
• Ability to perform regular typing and data entry.
• Ability to occasionally stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift up to 20 pounds.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for store visits, training, events, or trade shows.
• Ability to safely ride an electric bike for product training and demonstrations.
