Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education and a valid Michigan Teaching Certificate (MDE); OR
• Bachelor’s Degree and current enrollment in a recognized state-approved teacher certification program (MDE).
• Preferred: Previous classroom teaching experience or endorsements in Learning Disabilities (SM) and/or Cognitive Impairment (SA).

Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized instructional support to students with disabilities in a resource room setting.
• Use engaging, multisensory teaching strategies and implement IEPs.
• Adapt the general education curriculum to meet diverse needs using evidence-based interventions.
• Work closely with general educators, service providers, administrators, and families.
• Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom and foster student development across academic and social domains.
