Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Multiple onsite contract openings are available for skilled Special Education Teachers across resource room settings in both elementary and high school buildings for the 2026–2027 school year near beautiful Twin Lake, MI.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education and a valid Michigan Teaching Certificate (or in a state-approved certification program recognized by the MDE)
• Experience in classroom teaching within a school district (preferred)
• Preferred endorsements: Learning Disabilities (SM) and/or Cognitive Impairment (SA)
• Thorough understanding of evidence-based instructional strategies and accommodations for students with disabilities

Core Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and indirect support for students with disabilities in resource room settings
• Use specialized instructional methods to support development in sensory, motor, language, and cognitive skill areas
• Deliver engaging lessons in core content areas utilizing multisensory, phonics-based, and repetitive teaching techniques
• Implement and monitor students’ IEP goals with positive behavior supports
• Adapt and modify curriculum to align with individual learning profiles
• Collaborate closely with general education staff, related service providers, administrators, and families
• Maintain records to ensure compliance with special education mandates
