Accounts Receivable Specialist (Hybrid)

Job Description

A leading energy efficiency, engineering, environmental, and management consulting firm is searching for 2 AR Specialists to join their accounting department in Fairfax, VA! They are looking for candidates with a background in accounting to prepare and process a high volume of invoices and provide other accounting-related assistance. Pay Range: $55,000 - $60,000 DOE

Responsibilities:

Manage accounts payable and receivable processes
Process 400 - 600 invoices weekly using QuickBooks Desktop
Ensure timely processing of billings and receivables
Address and correct discrepancies in invoices and billing
Collaborate with the team to manage vendor payment terms and billing statuses
Direct communication with vendors and clients to maintain positive relationships and resolve issues
Track and report on billing statuses using Microsoft Excel

Requirements:

2 - 4 years of experience in high-volume billing/invoicing
Minimum 3 years of accounting receivable experience
Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
Strong customer service, attention to detail, and communication skills (both written and verbal)
Bachelor’s degree and/or experience in skilled trade industries (e.g., construction, roofing, plumbing, HVAC) preferred
Strong analytical skills preferred
General ledger experience preferred
