We are seeking an experienced and passionate General Manager to lead the opening and launch of our newest location. This is a unique opportunity to build a restaurant from the ground up—helping hire, train, develop systems, and establish the culture that will set the foundation for long-term success. Beyond overseeing daily operations, we're looking for a leader who understands that exceptional hospitality and operational excellence go hand in hand. The ideal candidate knows how to create an environment where guests feel genuinely welcomed and eager to return, while also building trust, accountability, and respect within the team to ensure smooth, efficient operations every day.
Job Summary:
As The General manager, you are responsible for managing daily operations, ensuring high-quality food and service, and achieving financial goals. This includes, but not limited to, staff management, customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and compliance with healthy and safety standards. The GM develops and implements strategies to drive revenue, control costs, and maintain the restaurant’s reputation while fostering a positive work environment. Job Responsibilities: Your role as General Manager will include, but are not limited to, the following responsibilities: 1. Daily Operations Management:- Oversee day-to-day operations of the bar and restaurant to ensure smooth functioning.
- Ensure high standards of service and quality are maintained at all times.
- Manage staff schedules and ensure appropriate coverage during shifts.
- Recruit, train, and supervise bar and restaurant staff, including bartenders, servers, and kitchen staff.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback and coaching.
- Foster a positive work environment and address any staff issues or conflicts
- Ensure exceptional customer service and address any guest complaints or issues promptly.
- Interact with customers to gather feedback and make improvements to service.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance the overall customer experience.
- Manage inventory levels for food, beverages, and supplies, including ordering and stocking.
- Monitor and control costs related to inventory and reduce waste.
- Ensure that all products are stored and handled according to health and safety regulations.
- Manage budgets, including labor costs, inventory, and other operational expenses.
- Monitor financial performance and implement strategies to achieve revenue and profitability goals.
- Conduct regular financial reporting and analysis to track performance and make data-driven decisions.
- Develop and execute marketing strategies to attract customers, including promotions, events, and social media campaigns.
- Coordinate with the kitchen and bar staff to create seasonal or special event menus and drinks.
- Build relationships with local businesses and organizations to drive community engagement.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and liquor licensing regulations.
- Implement and enforce health and safety protocols to maintain a clean and safe environment for staff and customers.
- Conduct regular inspections and address any potential hazards or violations.
- Coordinate with Talent Buyer to plan and coordinate special events, such as parties, corporate gatherings, and live entertainment.
- Collaborate with vendors, performers, and other parties to ensure successful event execution.
- Manage event budgets and ensure all logistical details are handled efficiently.
- Handle administrative tasks such as payroll, scheduling, and record-keeping.
- Prepare reports on sales, customer feedback, and staff performance.
- Maintain accurate documentation related to operations, financials, and compliance.
- Ensure that the ambiance and atmosphere align with the establishment's brand and concept.
- Address and resolve any customer issues or feedback in a professional and timely manner.
- Continuously seek ways to enhance the guest experience and encourage repeat business.
