Description

• Conduct evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric groups utilizing standardized assessments alongside observational methods.
• Create tailored treatment plans targeting immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, and swallowing objectives.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions that encompass aspects of language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
• Work in partnership with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to develop integrated care approaches.
• Provide valuable patient and family education to ensure effective progress is sustained beyond clinical appointments.
• Participate in occasional inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions to uphold seamless continuity of care.
• Adhere to precise documentation and compliance with state, federal, and organizational regulations.
• Stay informed on developments within the field via continuous education and collaboration with peers.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist from the state of Nevada.
• ASHA's Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.
• Obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of starting.
