Description

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations for patients from pediatric to geriatric populations utilizing standardized tests and behavioral observations.
• Create individualized treatment plans tailored to addressing both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
• Deliver focused one-on-one speech therapy sessions addressing various areas such as language, fluency, voice, and swallowing difficulties.
• Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and family members, to formulate integrated care plans.
• Educate patients and their families, empowering them to support therapeutic progress beyond clinical interactions.
• Occasionally provide inpatient evaluations and therapy interventions to ensure consistent care throughout the patient's recovery journey.
• Maintain precise and timely documentation compliant with all relevant regulations and organizational standards.
• Engage in ongoing education opportunities to keep abreast of developments in the field and nurture professional growth.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) for those not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
