Breast Sonographer-Orland Park Breast Center Full Time Days

Responsibilities include performing diagnostic ultrasound procedures according to department standards and protocols, reviewing patient history and physician orders, operating ultrasound equipment, observing and communicating pertinent clinical findings, educating patients, maintaining strict adherence to infection control policies, supporting departmental quality improvement initiatives, maintaining required competencies, and performing related duties as assigned.

This position is full time, 80 hours per pay period, with rotational start times between 7:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. with rotating weekends. No holidays. This position will assist with staffing needs at both sites: Northwestern Medicine Palos Hospital and Northwestern Medicine Orland Park Palos Breast Imaging. Breast ultrasound experience preferred.

Qualifications

Required: Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Sonography Program, American Registry for Diagnostic Sonographer (ARDMS) Breast Ultrasound (BS), Basic Life Support (BLS).
