This role operates within a dynamic and remote work setting, allowing therapists to engage directly with clients in their home environments or through our outpatient clinic located in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual therapy sessions at clients' homes or group therapy at our outpatient clinic, ensuring a consistent, compassionate approach tailored to each child's needs.

• Utilize targeted interventions to help reduce high-risk behaviors such as self-injurious behavior (SIB) and aggression by implementing evidence-based techniques, including anger management and social skills development.
\n
• Support caregivers by improving their decision-making capabilities, providing practical strategies to manage challenging behaviors within the home.
\n
• Engage in regular collaboration with the Child Family Treatment Team and other specialists to develop and adjust comprehensive treatment plans that align with each client's unique needs.
\n
• Maintain meticulous records, including intake documentation, treatment plans, and progress notes, ensuring timely submission as required by organizational policy.
\n
• Participate in team meetings to share insights, recommend interventions, and develop new strategies for continual improvement in service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this position is on providing therapeutic services to children aged 3 to 20 who are experiencing developmental disabilities and intellectual challenges. Therapists are encouraged to engage with diverse populations, including bilingual clients in Spanish or Portuguese, to ensure that all families receive culturally competent care. By establishing strong rapport with both children and their caregivers, therapists play a crucial role in enhancing client resilience and promoting positive outcomes.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, or a related mental health field is required.
\n
• An active and unrestricted LMFT license is mandatory.
\n
• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week, primarily during after-school hours from 4-7 PM, with additional weekend availability being advantageous.

• A valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle are necessary for travel to client locations.
\n
• Successful completion of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting, is required for employment.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in providing positive behavior support and applying behavioral strategies effectively.
\n
• Prior work with children and adolescents experiencing intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) is highly desirable.

• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish or Portuguese is strongly preferred.
