Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations through preliminary interviews, carefully documenting all aspects of client interactions from the initial consultation through to the end of treatment.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment and intervention plans tailored to meet the unique needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, using innovative therapeutic techniques to engage clients and foster meaningful connections within the therapy environment.

• Monitor and assess client progress throughout the treatment process, adjusting strategies and interventions as necessary to facilitate positive outcomes.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of practitioners, including psychiatrists, social workers, and nurses, to ensure that holistic treatment plans are effectively executed.

• Coordinate referrals and follow up on client progress with external healthcare providers as required, especially for clients transitioning to or from hospitalization.

• Engage with family members and primary caregivers to provide guidance on managing mental and behavioral health challenges within the home environment.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on a diverse clientele, enabling you to work with individuals facing a range of mental health concerns including anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction. Each therapeutic relationship is approached with sensitivity and professionalism, ensuring that clients feel understood and supported throughout their treatment journeys.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Possession of a current and valid license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Nevada.

• A successful score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey complex information to clients and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.

• Demonstrated proficiency in utilizing electronic health records, particularly with systems such as AVATAR.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience working as a mental health counselor, showcasing a minimum of two years in a therapeutic setting.

• Familiarity with addiction disorders and a solid understanding of the interplay between mental and physical health conditions.

• Knowledge and adherence to best practices as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
