Staff Accountant Forest Hill, Maryland

A well-established Harford County organization is looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join their accounting team. This is a full-time, direct hire opportunity well-suited for someone with a solid accounting foundation who is looking to grow their career in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end close
Support balance sheet reconciliations
Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports
Support budget preparation and tracking
Assist with sales and use tax payments and returns
Support full-cycle accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
Assist with the annual external review and other accounting department needs

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
1+ years of accounting experience
Proficiency in Excel
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
Experience with general ledger accounting software a plus
