Key Qualifications:

• Active Minnesota teaching license (Special Education endorsement required)
• Teaching experience in a Special Education setting, preferably within K-12 schools
• Strong classroom management and differentiated instruction skills
• Adaptability and openness to various school locations and student populations
• Ability to work effectively and ethically in a collaborative team environment
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Must confirm previous employment history if returning to the district, ensuring all past assignments ended on positive terms

Role Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families
• Document progress, adapt strategies, and create an engaging learning environment
• Provide direct instruction, behavioral interventions, and academic support
• Participate in IEP meetings, team conferences, and ongoing professional development

Excellent placements and support are available for travel professionals and local candidates alike. Schedules are full-time at 37.5 hours per week, providing a steady and rewarding assignment over the academic year. For compensation details, experienced applicants will be matched to pay rates aligned with district union guidelines and based on transcripts and years of experience.
