Make a meaningful impact working with young learners in a supportive setting just outside Minneapolis. This contract opportunity is ideal for a Special Education Teacher with a Tier 4 Early Childhood Sped License, looking for part-time flexibility with the potential for full-time hours in the future. You’ll teach in a self-contained classroom within an Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) program, supported by two full-time paraeducators, ensuring students receive individualized attention.

Enjoy a collaborative environment where Mondays are dedicated to paperwork, planning, or meetings, and where you may be called upon to float as a substitute teacher within the ECSE group when needed. Flexible workday options are available to fit your schedule: choose between Monday–Friday, 8:15 am to 12:15 pm, or a combination of full and half days (Monday/Wednesday 8:15 am–4:15 pm and Tuesday 8:15 am–12:15 pm).

Qualifications and Experience:

• Current Tier 4 Early Childhood Special Education teaching license
• Experience or strong interest in working with young children with diverse needs
• Effective communication and collaboration skills with colleagues and support staff
• Adaptability and a commitment to fostering a nurturing, inclusive classroom

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach and support students in a self-contained, specialized classroom
• Work alongside paraeducators to deliver individualized instruction
• Participate in IEP meetings and complete related paperwork
• Serve as a float substitute within the ECSE program if needed
• Provide a safe, engaging, and supportive learning atmosphere
