About the Job The University of Minnesota Sarcoma Program invites a dedicated Medical Oncologist to join our NCI‑designated Comprehensive Cancer Center. This role provides the opportunity to practice at the forefront of care for bone and soft tissue malignancies within a highly integrated, multidisciplinary team of orthopedic oncologists, pathologists, and radiation specialists. Our program is a national leader in limb‑sparing innovation and comparative oncology, fueled by the active Sarcoma Translational Working Group—an internal engine that drives collaboration between laboratory scientists and clinicians, ensuring that novel discoveries move rapidly from the bench to patients. As a core member of the faculty, you will also leverage our institutional membership in SARC (Sarcoma Alliance for Research through Collaboration), providing you and your patients elite access to global multi‑institutional clinical trials and a vast network of collaborative research data. Beyond clinical excellence, this position is defined by our deep‑rooted partnership with Rein in Sarcoma (RIS), a premier patient advocacy foundation. Position Highlights Lead and help build the future of sarcoma oncology at the University of Minnesota by leading innovative clinical trials and translational research, mentoring fellows and junior faculty, and contributing to multidisciplinary program development. Work closely with a dedicated team of orthopedic oncologists, pediatric oncologists, radiation oncologists, pathologists, and basic scientists, supported by robust tumor boards and state‑of‑the‑art research infrastructure. Qualifications Required Qualifications M.D. (or equivalent) and Board‑Eligible/Board‑Certified in Medical Oncology. Demonstrated excellence in patient care. Strong teaching skills and enthusiasm for medical education. Eligibility for medical licensure in Minnesota. Ability to pass credentialing at all applicable sites. Preferred Qualifications Clinical and translational research experience, particularly in sarcoma or related solid tumors. A track record of research productivity and independent or collaborative funding. Interest in developing and leading disease‑focused clinical trials. Pay and Benefits Pay Range: $285,000‑$465,407; depending on education/qualifications/experience and rank.
