Western Union will not assist with relocation costs for this position.*****Role Responsibilities*** Manages the planning and direction of departmental activities related to general accounting functions and preparation of reports and statistics reflecting earnings, profits, cash balances, and other financial results.* Specifically responsible for the maintenance and accuracy of the ledger accounts and financial statements in compliance with Company and GAAP standards.* Formulates and directs the administration of approved accounting practices.* Oversee the efficient operation and cost-effectiveness of operating systems and programs supporting the Finance organization.* May participate in accounting projects.* Responsible for managing people; hiring, performance reviews and compensation decisions.* Perform all duties inherent in a managerial role.* Overseeing Opex and Capex accounting related to IT processes* Overseeing Prepaid accounting* Managing Blackline account reconciliation access and assignments* Month end Balance sheet review reporting* Partnering with various corporate and business departments**Role Requirements*** Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred or equivalent work experience.* Minimum 5 years’ financial accounting experience required.* 2-5 years leadership experience required.* CPA preferred.**We make financial services accessible to humans everywhere.
