Accounting Manager

Company Description AVSeeds is a leading provider of seed solutions with over 80 years of experience. The company serves government agencies, municipalities, landscapers, and other partners involved in reclamation projects such as forest fire recovery, range management, mining, roadside construction, and residential landscaping. Located in the diverse environments of the Rocky Mountains, prairies, and urban areas, AVSeeds offers a wide range of warm- and cool-season grasses, wildflowers, forbs, shrubs, trees, and erosion control products. The team is committed to inventorying and sourcing seeds that reflect the unique needs of the regions they support, focusing on quality, reliability, and long-term relationships with customers. Role Description The Accounting Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Denver, CO. The Accounting Manager will oversee and manage the daily accounting functions including; bank deposits, receiving inventory, posting vendor and customer transactions and payroll. The role will also support HR functions and general office management. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for producing and presenting monthly and quarterly financial statements for board reviews, account reconciliations with journal entries and performance reports. This role involves analyzing financial data to identify trends and support the GM's decision-making, while ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. Qualifications Managed a small accounting department autonomously in the past Previous experience in manufacturing, distribution, or industrial sectors with a clear understanding of BOMs, gross / profit margins, costing and inventory controls Strong knowledge of financial statements, journal entries and preparing board reports Adept with cash management, operating capital, budgets and projections Exceptional analytical skills to evaluate financial data Thorough understanding of HR and regulatory compliance Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a business related field is required Preference given to those with protein, produce or agriculture roles Advanced proficiency in modern ERP systems and financial software #J-18808-Ljbffr
