Accounting Manager

Overview The Accounting Manager will be responsible for training the accounting team and providing accounting support to the Director of Accounting. Key support member in monthly / quarterly / annual close activities. This position will provide support with audits, monthly sales tax submissions, and will assist accounting personnel. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Training and development of the Accounting Team Experience leading the month end close process Ability to work with auditors, answer questions and maintain supporting documentation Exceptional ability to reconcile general ledger activity and balances Strong understanding of debits and credits and their impact on financial statements Daily cash reporting / reconciliation Experience with sales / use tax Experience with amortization / depreciation desired but not required Budgeting experience including allocations between departments and companies desired Ability to identify and resolve accounting issues through analysis, investigation, and teamwork Financial Statement experience Assist with ensuring general ledger activities have proper internal controls and procedures Specialized training in specific accounting duties Perform other duties as assigned Education and/or Work Experience Required Degree in Accounting required Prior experience with financial reporting and forecasts required CPA/CMA/CIA optional Experience as an Accounting Manager and managing people Experience with financial systems and ERP software Experience with intercompany reconciliations required Data entry skills with high level of accuracy Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written High level of conflict resolution and problem-solving skills Successfully work within the department, company, and with outside vendors / partners Team player, desire to learn and grow within the Accounting department Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Outlook and specifically Excel: xlookups, sumifs, pivot tables, macros) Ability to work in a fast paced, constantly changing environment Physical Requirements Requires the ability to operate a personal computer, office suites, multi-line phone, calculator and other basic office equipment. Requires the ability to concentrate and consistently produce accurate work. While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is frequently required to sit, use hand to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The Team Member is occasionally required to stand and walk and walk upstairs. The Team Member is occasionally required to stand for long periods of time, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The Team Member must be able to occasionally lift and or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus. Work Environment The noise level is moderate to loud at times and with obscene language from time to time The physical exertion is moderate between work and our fun time activities Work is performed in an office setting because we are professional at iLending There are frequent Team Member/customer contacts and interruptions from the person or the telephone during work hours.
