Sales Business Development Representative

In this role, you'll play a critical part in reactivating dormant customers, engaging new locations within enterprise accounts, and driving revenue growth across a broad B2B customer base. What you'll be doing: * Make daily outbound calls to customers who have not placed an order in 7+ months to drive reactivation * Prospect and engage new locations affiliated with large managed customer accounts * Handle inbound customer inquiries and ensure timely, solution-oriented support * Negotiate pricing and develop customized quotes based on customer needs * Leverage order history and customer insights to increase share of wallet * Promote Quill's value proposition, offers, and pricing programs to convert opportunities into sales * Manage and grow an open book of business, identifying new opportunities and driving retention * Partner closely with account managers to share insights, trends, and customer feedback * Collaborate cross-functionally to expand sales into categories like furniture, technology, print, and promo * Maintain accurate activity tracking and pipeline management within CRM systems while meeting or exceeding sales metrics What you bring to the table: * Go-getter mentality with a strong drive to achieve and exceed goals * Confident, self-motivated, and resilient—especially when faced with rejection * Customer-first mindset with a passion for delivering value and solutions * Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport quickly * Curiosity and willingness to ask questions and continuously improve * Ability to think dynamically and adapt your approach to different customer conversations * Positive, team-oriented attitude with a focus on collaboration and shared success * Strong multitasking skills with the ability to quickly assess customer needs and pivot to solutions * Enthusiasm for sales and belief in the products and solutions you represent * Desire to grow professionally in a fast-paced, evolving sales environment What's needed- Basic Qualifications * Associate's or Bachelor's degree (or equivalent work experience) * 1+ years of experience in a sales or service environment (B2B preferred) * Ability to work an 8-hour shift between 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM and work in a hybrid model (4 days in office) * Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) * Strong professional communication skills * Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new tools, systems, and processes * Ability to manage multiple sales approaches and customer scenarios * Strong customer acumen and problem-solving capabilities What's needed - Preferred Qualifications: * 1+ years of experience in a business-to-business sales or service environment * Proven ability to meet or exceed sales quotas or productivity metrics * Experience using CRM tools such as Salesforce or similar platforms * Strong organizational and time management skills * Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-change environment * Demonstrated resilience and ability to handle rejection positively * Self-starter mindset with initiative and accountability * Strong collaboration skills with a willingness to share best practices * Natural curiosity and desire to grow and develop sales expertise We Offer: * Inclusive culture with associate-led Business Resource Groups * Flexible PTO (22 days) and Holiday Schedule (7 observed paid holidays) * 112 Hours of PTO and Holiday Schedule (7 observed paid holidays + 1 floating holiday) * Online and Retail Discounts, Company Match 401(k), Physical and Mental Health Wellness programs, and more! The salary range represents the expected compensation for this role at the time of posting. The specific base pay may be influenced by a variety of factors to include the candidate's experience, skill set, education, business considerations, geography, and internal equity.
