Operations Manager - Aerospace & Defense Manufacturing Location: Tipp City, OH Salary: $105,000-$140,000, based on experience Employment Type: Direct Hire, Full-Time, On-Site Position Overview Prolink is partnered with an established aerospace and defense electronics manufacturer in Tipp City, Ohio seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead manufacturing operations. This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who is comfortable being visible on the production floor, developing supervisors, improving manufacturing performance, and driving organizational change. The Operations Manager will work closely with Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, Production Control, and Sales to improve safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost. Key Responsibilities Lead day-to-day manufacturing operations across multiple production areas Develop and implement meaningful manufacturing KPIs and performance metrics Use data and visual management systems to drive accountability and operational improvement Lead change initiatives and establish stronger processes, standards, and operating discipline Drive root cause analysis and corrective action for manufacturing and performance issues Lead Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives Improve manufacturing flow, capacity, productivity, and labor utilization Improve First Pass Yield while reducing scrap and rework Develop standardized work and sustainable manufacturing processes Coach Production Supervisors and develop future leaders Support workforce development, cross-training, and succession planning Partner with Quality to support AS9100 Quality Management System requirements Build a culture of accountability, teamwork, continuous improvement, and ownership Required Qualifications 7+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience Experience leading multiple production departments and supervisors Manufacturing leadership experience supporting military, government, aerospace, or defense customers Experience in an assembly environment or other high-mix, low-volume manufacturing operation Working knowledge of AS9100 Quality Management Systems Demonstrated experience developing and using manufacturing KPIs and performance metrics Proven experience leading organizational or operational change Strong root cause analysis and corrective action experience Strong Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement background Experience with ERP systems and production planning Strong leadership, coaching, communication, and problem-solving skills Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business, or a related field Electronics or electromechanical manufacturing experience Experience supporting highly regulated or high-reliability products Lean or Six Sigma certification Benefits Performance bonus opportunity Medical, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off Paid holidays 401(k) with company match Tuition reimbursement This position offers significant influence over manufacturing performance and the opportunity to lead improvements across people, processes, capacity, and operational systems within an established aerospace and defense manufacturer. #J-18808-Ljbffr McLendon Leadershi
