Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Evenings & Every Other Weekend | 36 or 48 hours per week | Days/Evenings with 1–3 night rotations per contract

Key Responsibilities

• Float between up to 8 different Med/Surg Telemetry units throughout the hospital as assigned
• Perform telemetry monitoring including measuring intervals and interpreting strips every 4 hours
• Manage cardiac drips and provide cardiac monitoring for assigned patients
• Care for ED border patients, serve as medication nurse in the acute mental health unit, and provide care for non-vented transfer-ready ICU patients
• Maintain clinician-to-patient ratios of up to 5:1 on days and evenings and up to 6:1 on nights
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC EMR

Required Qualifications

• Active Massachusetts RN License
• AHA BLS Certification
• Minimum 2 years of acute care hospital experience in a single location
• Minimum 2 years of travel nursing experience
• Proficiency with telemetry monitoring, cardiac drips, and reading tele strips
• TR Band experience required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 2 or more years of experience specifically in telemetry monitoring including strip interpretation
• Experience with EPIC EMR
• Comfort and flexibility working across multiple unit types within a large hospital setting
