This position involves providing specialized critical care for high-acuity neonates in a Level IV NICU setting within a comprehensive pediatric hospital. The role requires a highly skilled registered nurse to deliver advanced diagnostic and therapeutic services to critically ill newborns and infants, supporting their recovery and development. Job Details Required Qualifications: RN license, BLS (Basic Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support); minimum of 2 years of recent acute care experience, including at least 1 year in a Level IV NICU; experience with post-op patients, g-tubes, trach/vents management, invasive/noninvasive ventilation modes; required skills include blood product administration, arterial line management, NICU procedures, and ventilator management. Schedule: 12-hour shifts, rotating between day and night shifts, with a minimum of 48 hours per week. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with the following equipment and procedures: Ventilators (Draeger, Servo & Oscillator), Arctic Sun whole body cooling system, aEEG, UAC, UVC, nitric oxide therapy, and thermoregulation. Additional Information: The NICU staff cares for neonates requiring complex surgical and medical care, including those with congenital conditions, neurological injuries, or post-surgical needs. The unit supports interdisciplinary teams including respiratory therapists, social services, radiology, and pharmacy, and provides family-centered care for the most vulnerable pediatric patients. The facility is a Level IV NICU, equipped with state-of-the-art ventilators and monitoring systems, and requires float rotation to other pediatric units as needed. Candidates must pass strict skills assessments prior to employment.
