Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of patients, diagnosing mental health conditions as necessary according to the DSM (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders), to create individualized care plans that take into account cultural diversity and specific patient needs.

• Administer evidence-based therapeutic interventions and consistently monitor patient progress, adjusting treatment strategies as appropriate to meet therapeutic goals and improve mental health outcomes.

• Document all required treatment records, reports, and clinical information timely and accurately, utilizing the latest technological tools compliant with regulatory standards and departmental guidelines.

• Collaborate with patients, their families, and other healthcare providers to develop comprehensive treatment plans that encompass patient needs, desired outcomes, and the mutual goal of enhancing quality of life.

• Assist in coordinating comprehensive referral options, acting as a bridge between patients and additional treatment resources, ensuring seamless transitions in care.

• Engage in education and mentoring of interns, students, and volunteers, and contribute to the professional development of your peers by participating in clinical reviews and team support initiatives.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on patients and families affected by cancer diagnoses, addressing their unique mental health challenges. You will be involved in understanding how a cancer diagnosis can affect the psychological and emotional well-being of both patients and their families, creating a sensitive and supportive therapeutic environment.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• Active and unrestricted State License as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).

Compensation and Benefits\n
