Event Manager - Corporate Events & Membership Experience

The Role This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced events professional to take ownership of a varied and rewarding events program in Adelaide. The role will lead the operational delivery of a diverse calendar of corporate events, with the scope to make a genuine impact on how members connect, engage and experience the organisation. You will collaborate closely with the wider national events team, as well as local marketing, state management and membership engagement stakeholders. The majority of events are Adelaide-based, with occasional travel required for national events. This role suits someone who is self-reliant, resilient and energised by variety, pace and the opportunity to bring creativity to every event they deliver. Key Responsibilities Lead end-to-end planning, design and delivery of in-person and virtual events, from concept through to onsite execution Develop detailed event plans including timelines, run sheets, layout schematics and operational documentation Manage vendor and supplier relationships across catering, AV, venues and other services, ensuring quality and value Integrate experiential elements into events to elevate member engagement and deliver meaningful, interactive experiences Maintain accurate records in the CRM and manage event administration, contracts and document libraries Conduct pre-event staff briefings and post-event evaluations, using feedback and data to drive continuous improvement Serve as the first point of contact for attendee communications leading up to and during events Prepare and manage purchase orders, budgets, invoices and event P&L reconciliation Contribute to national and state projects and initiatives that support the broader organisational strategy The Candidate You are a confident, independent event professional with a solid grounding in corporate events and a genuine passion for creating exceptional member experiences. You thrive when juggling multiple projects, you are comfortable working autonomously and you bring a proactive, solutions-focused mindset to everything you do. Minimum 3 years of event management experience, ideally within corporate, professional services, education or large event venue environments Demonstrated ability to manage a high volume of concurrent projects with ability to prioritise and have high attention to detail Experience working with CRM systems and event management platforms (EventsAir, Jira or similar highly regarded) Strong stakeholder engagement skills with confidence communicating across all levels of an organisation Resilient and adaptable, comfortable navigating evolving systems and shifting priorities without losing momentum Creative mindset with the ability to use feedback and data to make thoughtful, impactful improvements to event design Excellent written and verbal communication skills Familiarity with the Adelaide corporate landscape and its unique professional community is a distinct advantage Salary & Benefits $90K–$100K plus super Hybrid working model (2-3 days in office minimum) Flexibility around hours and time in lieu during peak event periods Supportive, collaborative team culture Exposure to a nationally coordinated events program with genuine scope for professional development Opportunity to shape and elevate the member experience for a highly regarded professional community in Adelaide #J-18808-Ljbffr Meetings Professionals International
