Details Work in a 16-bed Observation Unit within the Emergency Department Adult patient population with a census of 10-16 patients Clinician to patient ratio of 4:1 or 5:1 depending on unit needs Uses Epic, ASAP, and Clin Doc charting systems 36-hour rotating shifts covering days, evenings, and nights with every other weekend required Floating required based on unit needs Requirements Active MA RN license required (no conditional or pending licenses accepted) Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required Minimum 2 years of experience working in one location and 2 years of experience as a traveler Proficient in general ED nursing skills including assessment, documentation, IV insertion, phlebotomy, EKG, cardiac monitoring, point of care testing, splinting, and patient education Must be able to read telemetry strips Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed Additional Information Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients in an observation setting, applying strong critical thinking skills Local candidates residing within 60 miles of Boston are accepted at a reduced rate American Traveler Job ID P-744836.
