Work Environment

This role will be conducted onsite, allowing you to engage closely with patients within the comfort of their homes. Our collaborative team includes two other physical therapists and a physical therapist assistant, fostering an inclusive and supportive work culture that values professional development and teamwork. Regular working hours are from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, providing a balanced work-life integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients to identify their individual rehabilitation goals and requirements.
• Manage a caseload with efficiency, treating one patient per hour while ensuring quality care and personalized attention.
• Implement cost-effective and evidence-based treatment plans that enhance patient mobility and functional outcomes.
• Utilize a variety of treatment techniques and rehabilitation programs tailored to the needs of each patient.
• Motivate patients throughout their treatment journey to maximize their functional capabilities and independence.
• Document treatment regimens and patient progress thoroughly, ensuring clarity and compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to create an integrated care approach that optimizes patient outcomes.
• Provide educational resources to patients, promoting a healthy lifestyle and preventive care.
• Regularly evaluate patient responses to treatment, making necessary adjustments to care plans as required.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist at West Valley, you will primarily work with orthopedic patients in a home care environment. These patients range from post-operative recovery cases to those managing chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Your role will significantly impact their rehabilitation and quality of life through targeted therapies and supportive care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in California.
• A clean professional record with no disciplinary actions against your license.
• Strong knowledge and proficiency in manual therapy techniques.
• Experience with developing customized exercise programs for various patient needs.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as WebPT.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and motivate patients from diverse backgrounds.
• Experience in home care settings or a strong understanding of home health care dynamics.

Compensation and Benefits
