Work Environment

This is an onsite role where you will work directly with patients in a specialized orthopedic outpatient setting. Our workdays are Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a structured yet supportive environment for both patient care and professional development. In a facility characterized by a welcoming atmosphere and team-oriented approach, you will collaborate closely with two other physical therapists and a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA).

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify patient objectives and develop tailored treatment plans based on individual needs.
• Manage a consistent patient load, approximately one patient per hour, optimizing time for effective care delivery and documentation.
• Implement evidence-based treatments that improve mobility, reduce pain, and support patients in achieving their rehabilitation goals.
• Utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities, manual therapy techniques, and exercise regimens that enhance functional abilities, ensuring quality outcomes.
• Monitor patient progress meticulously, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on response to therapy.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of patient treatments, progress notes, and interaction history to ensure continuity of care.
• Foster communication and collaboration with other healthcare team members to optimize patient care strategies.
• Promote a proactive approach towards health and wellness, encouraging lifestyle changes that support overall patient well-being.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary responsibility will be providing orthopedic rehabilitation services to a diverse patient population. The individuals you serve may range from athletes recovering from sports injuries to older adults seeking to regain mobility from degenerative conditions. Understanding the unique requirements of each patient will enable you to deliver personalized treatment strategies that are both effective and compassionate.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in California, with no disciplinary actions recorded.
• Demonstrable skills in manual therapy techniques, ensuring adept delivery of hands-on treatment.
• Proficiency in developing and executing tailored exercise programs that meet the specific rehabilitation needs of patients.
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT, for efficient documentation and patient tracking.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting, with a proven track record of effective patient outcomes.
• Experience working with a diverse range of patient populations and treatment scenarios, enhancing the depth of care provided.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 to 120,000 per year, reflective of your experience and qualifications.
