Position Overview

Horizon Flex Therapy is seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthopedic Outpatient Physical Therapist to join our team in Largo, Florida. As a full-time therapist, you will work directly with patients to facilitate their recovery journeys and restore optimal mobility and function. You will act as a primary partner in their rehabilitation, employing evidence-based practices to maximize their quality of life.

Work Environment

You will work onsite at our Largo facility, which is designed to provide a welcoming and therapeutic environment. Our clinic is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and technology, including advanced therapeutic tools and EMR software for efficient patient management. Your work schedule will be Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life routine.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patients' individual needs and develop personalized care plans aimed at achieving their rehabilitation goals.
• Provide treatment for 2-3 patients per hour utilizing a variety of therapeutic techniques, ensuring sessions are engaging and effective.
• Employ hands-on manual therapy skills to improve patients' mobility and reduce pain levels.
• Create fitness and wellness programs tailored to each patient's unique circumstances, focusing on overall improvement in strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
• Consult with other healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient care.
• Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans when necessary, and document all services provided accurately.
• Encourage and motivate patients to take an active role in their recovery process through education and support.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily serve an orthopedic outpatient client base. This includes individuals recovering from surgery, managing chronic injuries, or seeking to improve their mobility for everyday activities. You will deliver treatment aimed at reducing the need for medication and providing alternatives to invasive procedures.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Master of Physical Therapy (MPT) or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree.
• A valid and unrestricted Florida Physical Therapist License is required.
• No disciplinary actions or board actions on the license.
• A National Provider Identifier (NPI) number is preferable, or the ability to obtain one prior to employment.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of one year of experience in orthopedic outpatient therapy is highly preferred.
• Strong manual therapy techniques and proficiency in exercise prescriptions are required.
• Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) software, particularly WebPT, is advantageous.
• Ability to function both independently and collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team is essential.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 120,000 to 130,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Our benefits package includes:
