Work Environment

This position is based in our outpatient office, where you will work directly with patients in a hands-on setting. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough examinations and evaluations of new patients to determine their physical capabilities and limitations.
• Develop tailored treatment plans based on evidence-based practices and incorporate specific goals and objectives to address individual patient needs.
• Utilize a variety of techniques and modalities, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and patient education, to facilitate recovery and improve functionality.
• Document patient progress meticulously to ensure accurate medical records and billing, adhering to state regulations and organizational policies.
• Engage in patient education sessions, helping individuals and their families understand the treatment processes and advocating for their active participation in rehabilitation.
• Reassess and modify treatment plans as necessary to reflect patients' progress and changing needs.
• Collaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary team, sharing insights and updates during meetings concerning patient care.
• Maintain competence in the operation and care of specialized equipment used in treatment sessions while upholding safety standards.
• Monitor patients' response and communicate outcomes to the team to ensure comprehensive care delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with adults who may be experiencing orthopedic-related issues such as post-operative rehabilitation, sports injuries, fracture recovery, and degenerative conditions impacting movement. This role requires a specialized understanding of how to treat musculoskeletal ailments and promote optimal recovery, all while considering age-specific needs and individualized patient backgrounds.

Qualifications

• Possession of a Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited program in physical therapy.
• A current Physical Therapist license in the State of Florida is required; a temporary permit is acceptable during the licensing process.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or HealthCare Provider is mandatory.

Preferred Experience

While newly licensed therapists are encouraged to apply, experience in orthopedic rehabilitation is preferred. Hands-on experience with diverse treatment modalities, patient management skills, and familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems will enhance your candidacy.

Compensation and Benefits
