Position Overview
Ledgent Finance & Accounting's client is actively seeking a skilled Payroll Specialist to join their dynamic team in Arizona. This role offers the flexibility of working 100% remotely but requires the candidate to be located within the greater Phoenix, AZ area for occasional in-office meetings. The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for handling high-volume payroll processing and ensuring accurate and timely payroll operations.
Responsibilities
- Process high-volume payroll efficiently and accurately.
- Reconcile payroll data to ensure consistency and accuracy.
- Coordinate with various departments to manage payroll changes.
- Prepare and generate monthly payroll reports for review.
- Compile quarterly payroll reports, including Workers Compensation.
- Assist employees with payroll-related inquiries and provide support.
- Oversee domestic year-end processing and W2 tax filing.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in payroll processing.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Experience with SAP and ADP software is preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Excel.
- Proficient in 10-key data entry.
- Ability to work remotely with occasional in-office meetings in Phoenix.
Required Work Hours
The position requires availability during standard business hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

The role offers competitive pay with a salary range of $25 to $27 per hour.
