Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough initial assessments and ongoing evaluations to document clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health.

• Develop tailored intervention and treatment plans based on individual client needs, considering factors such as family dynamics and socioeconomic background.

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, using evidence-based practices to foster a supportive atmosphere for clients.
\n
• Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes, utilizing metrics and feedback to guide decisions.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists, medical doctors, and other mental health professionals to ensure comprehensive care and continuity for clients with complex needs.

• Maintain accurate documentation of treatment processes and client history in electronic health record systems, such as AVATAR, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Educate and support clients’ families and caregivers in understanding and managing mental health challenges, promoting a team-based approach to recovery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work with an array of clients facing diverse mental health challenges including anxiety, depression, trauma-related disorders, and substance use disorders. Our client population includes individuals of all ages, from adolescents to adults, enhancing the opportunity for you to apply a variety of therapeutic modalities and interventions. You will be an essential part of a supportive journey, empowering clients through assessments and tailored treatment options.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field is required; a Master's or Doctoral degree is preferred.

• Current, valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Texas is mandatory.
\n
• A minimum score on the NCE and/or NCMHCE is required for licensure.
\n
• Demonstrated experience working as a mental health counselor, with a strong track record of client engagement and successful outcomes.

• Proficiency in documenting client information within electronic health record systems, specifically AVATAR.
\n
• Familiarity with the best practices set forth by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) is essential.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience addressing both physical and emotional health concerns, as well as understanding addiction-related issues, is highly desirable.

• Strong understanding of medications prescribed by doctors, and their effects on clients' mental health, will be beneficial.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with a compassionate demeanor, are critical for this role.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to establish rapport with clients and family members will enhance your effectiveness.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive annual salary range of $80,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience, along with a sign-on bonus.
