Logistics Coordinator

Sierra Executive Solutions (SES) is recruiting for an on-site Logistics Coordinator with a Reno, NV client company. Candidates must reside in Nevada; relocation assistance is not offered. Position Description The Logistics Coordinator will report to the Global Logistics Manager. The role involves working in the transportation or warehouse of lithium batteries, processing orders, and overseeing the entire order fulfillment cycle. The Coordinator ensures that stock and materials are processed through delivery and/or warehouse systems efficiently and safely, and coordinates 3PL (ocean, rail, trucking freight) operations to run smoothly. Duties and Responsibilities Facilitate the shipping of goods from one destination to another Arrange ocean, railway, and 3PL transportation and orchestrate deliveries to meet customer demand with minimal delay Take steps to avoid quality control issues Manage activities throughout the order fulfillment and transportation cycle to meet established deadlines Continuously review freight costs and transportation rates to reduce expenses where possible Streamline shipping and transportation processes Skills and Competences Problem‑solving skills and ability to arrange same‑day deliveries whenever possible Effective communication with suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders Decision‑making ability Prioritization skills Understanding of quality management principles Ability to recognize opportunities for process and quality improvements Experience preparing accurate reports for management Requirements and Qualifications Bachelor’s of Science in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field is preferred 3+ years of experience in ocean freight logistics coordination is required Supply Chain and Logistics certifications such as APICS, CSCMP, and/or CLT are strongly preferred Computer‑savvy with working knowledge of logistics software or ERP systems (preferably Microsoft Navision) Proficiency in Microsoft Office Knowledge of laws, regulations, and ISO requirements Solid understanding of logistics processes Self‑motivated, eager to learn, and able to work in a team Ability to perform effectively in a multicultural environment #J-18808-Ljbffr
