Location USA - Amazon Web Services, Inc., Sparks Division Solutions Job Title Logistics Coordinator Employment Type Full Time Working Hours Thru-Sat & alternating Wed 2:30am-3pm Position Summary The Team Lead has general responsibility for coordinating and overseeing all operational activities, which they are assigned to daily. Under the direction of the Operations Supervisor, the Operations Lead is responsible for oversight of the associates dedicated to the warehousing, receiving, and shipping of product in their area in a manner consistent with company service and cost objectives. Responsibilities Training Responsibilities: Mentor and train new and existing associates in specific distribution activities to help achieve established customer demands. Train associates on current Standard Operating Procedures, including shipping, receiving, picking, and quality control. Assist in forklift operation and certification for new and existing associates. Shipping/Receiving Responsibilities: Oversee and coordinate unloading of inbound shipments, stacking of product, and picking/staging of outbound shipments to maximize productivity, ensuring accurate paperwork. Efficiently and accurately load orders onto appropriate doors and trailers. Process all shipping/receiving/picking functions as defined by SOP. Research discrepancies in shipping and receiving processes. Customer Service: Conduct yourself professionally in appearance and communications. Communicate with customers via phone, email, or in person. Prepare activity reports accurately and efficiently for site management. Quality Control Responsibilities: Use appropriate documentation to ensure all product and orders are received, shipped, and picked correctly. Verify products/orders meet quality standards, reporting damages or discrepancies; stack, package, shrink-wrap, and label as needed. Process all quality control functions as per SOP; report inconsistencies and participate in quality meetings. Safety, Housekeeping, and Compliance: Comply with ISO standards and safety protocols. Execute all safety protocols and promote safety in job tasks. Maintain warehouse cleanliness and assist in security. Comply with all SOP, corporate and site policies, safety rules, and OSHA/MSDS Standards; participate in safety meetings. Labor Management: Direct operations of the warehouse team to achieve objectives. Assist associates and temporary labor with productivity sheets and payroll capture. Support supervisor in maintaining a productive workforce. Participate in establishing and implementing work schedules. Ensure associates handle products according to quality procedures. Responsibility and Authority: Participate in department meetings. Initiate actions to prevent non-conformities and report to Quality Department immediately. Equipment Operation: Operate equipment such as sit‑down, stand‑up, reach trucks, sweeper scrubbers, scissor lifts, cherry pickers, Aisle Master, or pallet jack. Maintain equipment and report problems; perform daily forklift or equipment maintenance. Operate all equipment safely and efficiently; maintain an active forklift certification. Maintenance: Perform or assist in building, grounds, and equipment maintenance as assigned. Other Duties: Perform clerical and administrative tasks as directed, including answering phones, scheduling, visiting greetings, filing, and record keeping. Work evenings, weekends, and overtime as required. Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Basic computer skills, RF scanner use, WMS functions. English reading, writing, and speaking. Basic to intermediate mathematical skills for inventory and product handling. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Minimal supervision required; effective communication at all levels. Adaptability to change in a fast‑paced environment. Minimum Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED. 1 year logistics/distribution experience. Ability to operate material handling equipment (MHE). Work in unregulated temperatures; mild to moderate ranges. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Successful completion of a forklift training program. Preferred Qualifications 2–4 years warehouse/logistics/distribution experience. 2–4 years proven forklift experience. Current or prior MHE certification. Pay Base pay $26.00 per hour (range $26.00 – $26.00). Compensation determined by experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location.
