Senior Project Manager

Role Description

The Senior Project Manager manages all aspects of a project, from start to finish, to complete it on time and within budget. The Senior Project Manager work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

• Designs, communicates, and implements an operational plan for completing the project.
• Monitors progress and performance against the project plan to resolve operational problems and minimize delays.
• Identifies the resources to complete the project.
• Prepares designs and work specifications; develops project schedules, budgets, and forecasts.
• Selects materials, equipment, project staff, and external contractors.
• Communicates with other operational areas in the organization to secure specialized resources and contributions for the project.
• Conducts meetings and prepares reports to communicate the status of the project.
• Sets priorities, allocates tasks, and coordinates project staff to meet project targets and milestones.
• Begins to influence department's strategy.
• Handles moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components.
• Performs work without direction and exercises considerable latitude in determining goals and approaches to assignments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 5 or more years of technical experience.
• Previous Project Management experience.
• Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on improving consumer experiences.

Requirements

• Self-provided internet service must meet the following criteria:
  • Minimum download speed of 25 Mbps.
  • Minimum upload speed of 10 Mbps.
  • Wireless, wired cable, or DSL connection is suggested.
• In certain roles, the minimum recommended internet speed may not be sufficient for business needs. Humana reserves the right to require associates to upgrade their internet service if necessary.
• Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.
• Occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.
