About the Role

The Company is in search of a Head of Customs, Trade, and Compliance to spearhead its national strategy in regulatory compliance, customs brokerage, and trade operations. This executive-level role is pivotal in driving enterprise-wide compliance, optimizing operational performance, and ensuring adherence to U.S. customs and tariff regulations. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the national strategy, acting as the organization's licensed U.S. Customs Broker, and maintaining full compliance with all U.S. import and export regulations. Key duties include partnering with senior leadership and legal teams to anticipate regulatory changes, identifying and mitigating risks, and translating complex regulatory requirements into scalable business processes. The role also involves overseeing brokerage operations, managing customs-related P&L performance, and leading a high-performing national compliance organization. Applicants for the Head of Customs, Trade, and Compliance position at the company should possess a Bachelor's degree, an active U.S. Customs Broker License, and a minimum of 10 years' leadership experience in customs, trade compliance, or international logistics. A strong knowledge of U.S. customs regulations, tariffs, and global trade frameworks is essential, as is experience in highly regulated, complex environments. The role requires a proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and regulatory agencies, strong analytical and strategic decision-making capabilities, and a track record of leading large-scale compliance programs and teams. The Head of Customs, Trade, and Compliance will also be expected to drive continuous improvement, automation, and modernization initiatives within the organization.
