This position operates on an onsite basis located in Fredericksburg, Virginia, within a friendly and supportive outpatient office. Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient conditions through detailed assessments and develop specialized treatment plans tailored to each individual's health needs, based on physician referrals.
• Implement an evidence-based therapeutic approach to treat a diverse range of patient specialties, including orthopedic, pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine.
• Provide exemplary customer service and contribute positively to the clinic's environment, ensuring all patient interactions are both professional and compassionate.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to maximize patient outcomes and enrich the rehabilitation experience.
• Deliver quality therapeutic care directly at the patient's location when necessary, employing prescribed procedures and techniques to achieve meaningful improvements in their mobility and function.
• Educate patients and their caregivers about treatment processes, self-care techniques, and lifestyle improvements to foster ongoing recovery.
• Meet set goals for utilization and performance metrics, contributing to the overall success of the clinic.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role will involve working primarily with a varied patient population, including individuals recovering from surgeries, athletic injuries, or chronic conditions requiring sustained therapeutic support. We aim to develop strong relationships with each patient, focusing on their personal goals and ensuring they receive tailored support throughout their recovery process.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an APTA or CAPTE-approved program is required.
• A valid State License in Physical Therapy and Basic Life Support Certification from the American Heart Association.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to motivate and connect with patients from diverse backgrounds.
• Proficient computer skills including word processing and familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
• Strong interpersonal skills, capable of establishing positive relationships with patients and their families, promoting goodwill within the community.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience in physical therapy settings, particularly in outpatient care, is preferred.
• Experience working with varied specialties such as orthopedic, pediatric, sports medicine, and neurological rehabilitation will be an advantage.
• Background in evidence-based practice and knowledge of contemporary therapeutic techniques.

Compensation and Benefits
