About the Position Position/Specialty: Cardiac Step-Down RN Shift: Will work 3x12s, Days (7a-7p), Holidays as needed Ratios: 1:5 Weekend REQ: Rotating weekends Is on-call REQ? (Y/N): No Will this traveler need to float within scope to meet facility needs/float between like units/sister facilities? Yes, Travelers for the Downtown and Northeast campuses may be required to float between DT/NE campuses due to census and/or staffing needs. If floated to another unit the traveler will adjust to the ratio of that unit. Required/Preferred Years of experience REQ: 2 years of experience required First-timers accepted: Yes, but would prefer a nurse who has travel experience License REQ: SC or Multi State/Compact RN license. Will not hire with pending license. Certs REQ (MUSC only accepts American Heart Association (AHA)): BLS, ACLS Trauma Level REQ: N/A Special Requirements: Telemetry, IV Start skills required Miscellaneous Open to accommodating block schedule? (Y/N): Requires managers approval upon request. Dependent on unit's needs Local Radius: 60 miles Locals Accepted: Yes, on a case-by-case basis at 10% less the posted bill rate. RTO Restrictions for Client Offers: All RTO must be included at time of submission. Approval will be based on facility needs Guaranteed Hours: Facility is allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks. Hurricane Season** Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season, all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams. If this is a problem, please ensure travelers do not confirm a NEW or EXT assignment during the season. Hurricane season runs from June through November each year. The peak months for hurricane activity are August and September.
