Step into a contract role serving as a Special Education Teacher for the full school year at an elementary school near Chicago, IL. This onsite position focuses on delivering specialized instruction as a resource teacher for students in grades 3–5. With a caseload of approximately 10 students, you’ll provide both pullout and push-in support minutes, working closely with a dedicated team of educators to foster student growth and success.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 endorsement required
• Experience working as a Special Education Teacher preferred
• Strong understanding of IEP processes, differentiated instruction, and collaborative teaching models
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
• High level of organization, flexibility, and compassion for working with diverse learners

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver targeted instruction to small groups or individual students in resource and general education settings
• Implement IEP goals through both pullout and push-in services, tracking student progress and maintaining compliance documentation
• Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers to develop accommodations and modifications
• Engage in regular communication with families to share updates on student progress
• Participate in IEP meetings, data collection, and professional development sessions as needed
