Area Route Manager

Position Summary The Area Route Manager is responsible for the creation, implementation, training, and facilitation of Route Strategy and Route Optimization initiatives. Principal Responsibilities Work closely with the Area Director of Operations Support and Area Collections Manager to identify priority Divisions with significant routing opportunities. Provide project management leadership on complex routing initiatives. Partner with Area Operations Managers to implement route improvements and/or enhancements. Partner with Area Operations Managers to improve Customer Zeal. Manage and support the Route Editor process by aiding with training, developing productivity goals, establishing route standards, and ensuring effectiveness of the routing process. Provide supplemental training, as needed, to Dispatchers and Supervisors on route capability concerns such as tracking, entering metrics, and other key data. Assess and support Divisional leadership in evaluating compliance and meeting established goals; ensure effective closure of outstanding route improvement opportunities identified during audit. Provide process direction, guidance, and motivational leadership to bring about sustainable change management. Provide metrics reporting and reconciliation as needed. Travel up to 60% of the time across the Area operational footprint. Perform other job‑related duties as assigned or apparent. Preferred Qualifications Experience with RISE & InfoPro strongly preferred. Thorough understanding of basic routing, dispatch, auditing, and customer initiatives. Prior waste industry or service industry experience. Minimum Requirements Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership and project management experience in route technology, auditing, and editing. Valid driver’s license. Pay Range $119,800.00 to $164,800.00 Bonus Plan Details (if applicable) Bonus – Annual Incentive Plan Target, 20% Annual Rewarding Compensation.
