We are a private dental practice in Arlington looking for an experienced Patient & Insurance Coordinator to join our team.
We are a small, established practice with a friendly and professional environment. We see patients Monday through Thursday and do not have evening or weekend hours.
The person in this position will be responsible for the day-to-day front office and will work closely with the doctor and the rest of the team.
Compensation:$25 - $30 hourly
Responsibilities:Answer phones and respond to patient messages
Schedule and confirm appointments
Check patients in and out
Verify dental insurance eligibility and benefits
Review insurance plans and determine patient benefits and estimated out-of-pocket costs
Prepare and submit pre-authorizations
Follow up on pending pre-authorizations
Submit dental insurance claims
Review outstanding patient balances and insurance receivables
Provide patients with treatment estimates and explain their insurance benefits
Collect patient payments and follow up on outstanding balances
Maintain accurate patient and insurance information
Coordinate treatment plans and appointments with patients
Keep the schedule organized
Communicate with patients, insurance companies, and the dental team
Help with general front-office duties as needed
What we are looking for
MUST have previous dental front office experience
Good understanding of dental insurance, claims, and EOBs
Experience checking insurance eligibility and benefits
Experience with dental pre-authorizations
Comfortable reviewing treatment estimates and explaining insurance coverage to patients
Experience following up on unpaid or denied insurance claims
Dentrix experience is preferred
Good computer skills
Organized and detail-oriented
Friendly and professional with patients
Reliable and able to work independently
Good communication skills
Comfortable working in a small office where everyone works together

About CompanyFirst Impression Dental is a modern, fully digital dental practice located on Massachusetts Avenue in Arlington. We use digital X-rays, CBCT, CEREC, and digital patient records.
We are a one-doctor practice and try to maintain a comfortable and organized environment for both our patients and our staff.
