Project Accountant

Everything is great: benefits, training, Advancement opportunities, understanding, and supportive in all areas.” – Staffmark Accounting Clerk Requirements Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field preferred At least 3+years of accounting experience Construction or engineering accounting experience preferred Strong knowledge of job-cost accounting Experience preparing and reviewing work-in-progress schedules Knowledge of AIA billing processes Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel Experience with Sage, Procore, Foundations, Viewpoint, or similar construction software is a plus Understanding of GAAP and internal accounting controls Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent attention to detail and financial accuracy Effective communication and collaboration skills Ability to take initiative and manage multiple priorities Job Duties Monitor and manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost reports Track project expenses and prepare monthly job-cost reports Process subcontractor invoices Review and process change orders and progress billings Collaborate with project managers on budget revisions Prepare and update cost-to-complete estimates Set up new projects in the accounting system Enter project billing terms, cost codes, and related information Manage project accounts receivable Follow up on outstanding customer payments Prepare and analyze project-specific financial statements Support the monthly close process Perform budget-to-actual and other variance analyses Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and industry regulations Maintain accurate documentation for audits and contractual requirements Benefits: Pay That Matches the Skill.
