Position Overview

The Senior Accountant supports the financial reporting and accounting operations of a multi-unit restaurant organization. This role is responsible for overseeing month-end close, ensuring accuracy of financial statements, supporting internal controls, and providing financial insights to operations leadership.

The ideal candidate has strong technical accounting knowledge and experience in restaurant, hospitality, or multi-unit environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead month-end and year-end close processes
• Prepare and review journal entries and account reconciliations
• Ensure accuracy of financial statements in accordance with GAAP
• Analyze food, labor, and operating expenses; identify variances
• Oversee fixed assets, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes
• Assist with audits and ensure compliance with internal controls
• Partner with operations leadership to provide financial insights

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
• 3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Restaurant, hospitality, retail, or multi-unit experience preferred
• Strong GAAP knowledge and financial reporting experience
• Advanced Excel skills and accounting software proficiency
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
